Our color crush for this month? It’s PANTONE Rose Quartz. This particular hue of pink was named after the Rose Quartz Crystal which is also known as the 'love stone'. According to Pantone Rose Quartz is a "persuasive yet gentle tone that conveys compassion and a sense of composure".

Pink is a result of mixing red and white, which makes it entertaining and calm at the same time. It is traditionally a color associated with all things cozy – love, romance, nurture and hope spring to mind. This makes it perfect for wellness businesses, maternity brands, hospitality and fine dining among many others. Be careful not to overdo it though, as an ill-applied pink can conjure weakness and immaturity.

Pink and green together are especially trendy, and they make a very mature pairing that reflects boho tropical design. Aside from the fact that this lovely color combination is very spring-like, it also brings us preppy and retro vibes of the 70’s. Something that can bring interest and appeal to our home interiors.

The use of pink and green scheme in home interior is not really common in most homes. It is because of its bold and striking characteristics that others may find overwhelming at times. However, when the right shades of this pair are used skillfully in your home, it can add a lot of feminine touch and calming charm.

Pairing pink elements with dramatically dark colors creates a calming balance and also lets your link home decor be the focal point in the room. Combine dark walls with a pink sofa or pink lounge chairs. For a more traditional look, a navy colored sofa surround by pink home decor such as throw pillows and artwork allow pink to play a secondary role in the design scheme

Infinite variations of white and beige have been the dominant colours of wall paint in modern homes in the past decade. Now a new neutral is emerging — pink. Neutrals are those well-behaved, co-operative colours - white, grey, black and beige - they play nicely with their bolder counterparts, while bringing a calming influence to even the raciest of palettes. Rose quartz, paired with other neutrals creates a calm, but still warm space, that doesn’t scream out loud.
